Jam Session with Eixo do Jazz Ensemble & Students of the Jazz Department at AE Bemposta [Portimão]

In this second edition of DPP'22 we again promote an approximation between professional musicians, students and the community by holding a jam session open to all, where the tradition of jazz improvisation happens freely and spontaneously. This time, in an emblematic place of the city, the Sociedade Vencedora Portimonense, some artists from the concert Eixo do Jazz Ensemble get together with some students from the Integrated Course and the Jazz Instrumentalist Professional Course from the Bemposta School of Portimão to give free expression to the music and create one of the most festive moments of DPP'22 to which you are all invited!

The Jazz Instrumentalist Professional Course was created in 2012/13 and is one of the Performing Arts Courses at AE Bemposta, Portimão being characterized by a strong connection with the professional world. Over the years, several venues have welcomed the jazz of Bemposta's students. The work developed was awarded in 2016 at the festival “Festa do Jazz do São Luiz”. Currently, the students perform regularly on the stage of the TEMPO Café Concerto, with a monthly jam session, but also in cultural venues in Portimão.
